Questions
Will a forced regen fix my derate?
Not always. A regen clears a loaded filter, but a derate can also come from a failed sensor, a DEF quality or dosing problem, or another fault. The technician runs diagnostics first, then tells you whether a regen, a repair at the truck, or shop work is needed.
What should I have ready when I call about a DPF or DEF light?
The unit number, the exact location, the warning lights on the dash, any fault codes, and whether the truck is in a derate. That helps the technician bring the right tools and parts.
